Astounded by colors in nature? Want to explore natural dyes? In this class, you will learn the basics of how to build a dye color palate with plant pigments. We will forage for materials and dye pre-mordanted fibers. Participants will learn how to apply natural color to different kinds of fibers. Natural dyes we use are permanent and light fast. Finished product wash and care instructions will also be discussed.
Each participant will walk away with a set of dye sample swatches, a finished scarf made during class, and the ability to do use skills learned in your own natural dye adventure.
