Years ago, I founded a Montana Folk School, bringing people together to reconnect with nature through wilderness living skills, land-based crafting, and shared experiences. We gathered outdoors to learn wilderness living skills, forage for wild plants, make things with our hands, share meals, and spend time around campfires beneath big Montana skies. Teaching nature connection and helping others build meaningful connections to the land became work for many years.

Along the way, I discovered the art of eco printing and natural dyes, and something clicked. Here was a way to blend my love of plants, textiles, and the natural world into a creative practice that felt deeply rooted in everything I had been teaching for years.

Every day is a good day to get artsy. When I was a little girl, my grandmother's art studio was a place where imagination flourished, and we spent many hours crafting together. Her spirit continues to inspire my own art. Looking back, it feels like all those years of sewing with her, teaching others, wandering forests, gathering leaves, and sharing the wonders of nature were leading me here.

Today, every scarf, garment, and piece of cloth I create carries a celebration of Montana's landscapes, the beauty of botanicals, and the joy of making something beautiful by hand.
